Gracie + Kenny – Forest Park and Majorette Wedding – Madexposure Photography St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I’ve been excited to photograph Gracie and Kenny’s wedding since I last saw them at their engagement session, which was so so fun. I knew their wedding was going to be a gorgeous day.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Gracie and Kenny. They have to be hands down two of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever had a the pleasure of knowing. This is evidenced by every piece of their wedding day. From the overwhelming smiles and laughter to the amazing toasts made by their friends and family, it’s clear these two are supremely special.

If you didn’t know, Gracie and Kenny love the musician Andrew McMahon and this quote from his song Synesthia was actually used in the Best Man’s speech (but I’m going to use it, too!) and I think it really resonates with them as a couple.

And I see colors when I hear your voice
Put on your wings that put gravity on trial
I see colors, and I don’t feel the choice
Because we’re only flying for a while

And I could love you in the falling rain
Like many things, this is a storm we’re meant to ride
Like synesthesia aboard a stalling plane
It’s like we’re only flying for a while

When Gracie and Kenny see each other, everything is brighter, more colorful. They’ve known each other for over nine years and just keep making each other’s lives better and better.

We started the day at St. Catherine Laboure Parish in Sappington, a gorgeous church, with the most beautiful stained glass windows that we had to use for some photos. After Grace’s mom put the finishing touches on her dress, it was time for her and Kenny to see each other for a first look.

The first look had EVERYONE in tears. And I mean everyone. Gracie looked absolutely stunning in her dress and cathedral veil and Kenny’s smile makes it pretty obvious that he thought so, too.

After a beautiful ceremony, with a wonderful homily, Gracie and Kenny were finally Mr. and Mrs! We made our way to Forest Park and the Grand Basin.

If you weren’t aware it was a heat index of over 100 degrees that day, but with this group I don’t think you could tell! They were having so much fun and being so supportive and great that we were able to take photos in record time and try not to melt!

I was going to make a joke about Grace and Kenny being so hot, too, but I’ll keep my dad jokes to myself, I think.

After we left the Grand Basin, we went to the Missouri History Museum, where the breeze made it feel like it was only 99 degrees. Just kidding! Everyone looked so great next to this historic building and beautiful fountain. My person favorite is Gracie and Kenny underneath her veil… swoon.

Finally it was time to party! We made our way to the wonderful Majorette for the reception. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s awesome. The place was decorated beautifully with florals, floating candles and so many wonderful details.

Can you believe that they had temporary tattoos made from their faces? Such a fun idea!!!

Overall it was a truly beautiful day and I was so happy to be there to capture it.

Congratulations, Gracie and Kenny! Enjoy every moment of your lives together.
