When I think of Caitlin and Andrew, I think of warmth, kindness, humor and boundless love. A love that I think is best described by one of the most profound poets of the 20th century…

‘It’s the most maddening, beautiful, magical, horrible, painful, wonderful, joyous thing in the world, love’ – Taylor Swift

I’ve been so excited to write this blog post because this was an extra special wedding for me. A few short years ago, I photographed Caitlin’s sister, Megan, on her wedding day. But, more than that, Caitlin and I actually went to high school together and have been friends ever since. I remember so fondly, watching movies, singing along to Britney Spears and taking road trips together. Her warmth and humor and generosity has always astounded me. Caitlin is a fiercely loyal friend and I will always be grateful to have had her in my life.

But I guess this isn’t about ME and Caitlin… It’s about Andrew and Caitlin. A relationship, a love, a marriage that I am so proud to document. The love between these two is palpable, as is the immense love they have for their daughter Addison.

I guess you are ready to see the pictures now, aren’t you? Well I’m not stopping you… scroll away! <3

Andrew started the day Marriot St. Louis Grand, looking absolutely dashing in his blue suit. Joined by his handsome groomsmen in their coordinated Nike shoes. Embracing their inner Mad Men, they spent the morning drinking, joking around and looking pretty damn cool.

Meanwhile, Caitlin and the bridesmaids were getting ready at the Magnolia Hotel, less than a block away. The whole group looked adorable in their matching blue robes and, later, their gorgeous blue bridesmaid dresses.

As it was time to put her her dress, there was barely a dry eye in the room. Her sisters helped with the finishing touches and it was almost time to get married.

The ceremony and reception were held in the Vault Room at the City Museum (which is where I married Xander, another reason this wedding was so special). Caitlin looks positively radiant as she walked down the aisle.

After the I do’s and some photos with family members (Addison looking especially adorable), the wedding party went up to the roof for some photos. This group was so fun that I couldn’t stop laughing and neither could they.

At last Andrew and Caitlin had a little time along, looking like an absolute prince and princess. The St. Louis city skyline behind them at sunset… just magical.

Finally, it was time to party! Speeches were made, amazing food was had and the day was a complete success.

Congratulations, Caitlin and Andrew! I see so many years of happiness ahead of you. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.
