I’m so excited to be featuring Angela and Logan’s beautiful wedding day on the blog! Angela and Logan are just one of the sweetest most laid back couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. After photographing their engagement session I was so excited for their wedding day. I knew it was going to be relaxed, peaceful and full of so much love.
Being around Angela and Logan, you can feel their love for one another radiate. They look at each other with so much compassion and joy in their eyes, that you honestly can’t help but smile. Before the ceremony, they weren’t very nervous, just excited to start on their marriage and their life together. It was pretty obvious from the get go that their faith in each other and their marriage is iron clad.
We started the day at Bonhomme Presbyterian Church in Chesterfield, which had a gorgeous getting ready room, perfect for capturing all of Angela’s carefully chosen details. From her gorgeous lace trim veil to her bouquet of roses and peonies, everything fit together perfectly.
Grab the tissues, because this moment may have you in tears. Angela surprised her dad with a custom tie. On it she stitched by hand, “Forever your little girl.”
In another part of the church, Logan and family were playing a little hang man. Logan’s brother poked a little fun at him. Can you guess what his hangman phrase was? Something a Blues Hockey fan does not want to say!
As Angela’s mom helped her into her dress and put on the finishing touches, Angela looked absolutely angelic. She brought a few tears to more than one eye that morning.
Angela and Logan were lucky enough to have two pastors at their ceremony and a group of family and friends who raised their hands in prayer over them.
After the ceremony, Angela, Logan and their families traveled down to the Bonhomme Old Stone Church. The Old Stone Church was the original site of Bonhomme Presbyterian and was built in 1841, making it the second Presbyterian church in the U.S. west of the Mississippi River and the first in the St. Louis area. It made a beautiful historic backdrop for portraits.
We ended the night at the beautiful Old Hickory Golf Club. While it was quite hot, we made great use of the shade provided by the trees and the sprawling green fairways. Angela and Logan were just absolutely glowing.
Guests were greeted into the reception by the cutest tiny succulent favors, signature drinks at the bar and beautiful rustic centerpieces.
There was also an awesome handmade photo booth backdrop, perfect for taking photos for Angela and Logan’s custom guestbook.
Angela and Logan, I wish you so much happiness. You two are such lovely people and I can’t wait to see what adventures you have ahead!
