Jackie + Logan – Jacksonville Illinois Wedding – Midwest Fine Art Wedding Photographer

Jackie and Logan are just the kind of college sweethearts you root for. They met their freshman year at Illinois College and never looked back. If you didn’t know, Jackie is on the swim team and Logan is on the football team at Illinois College. While they may be athletic, they are also both so so sweet and definitely don’t fit the jock stereotypes. We photographed their engagement session all over the beautiful campus, including the pool and the football field. I was excited to return to Jacksonville to shoot their wedding in Rammelkamp Chapel.

It obvious from being around these two, even for just a short while, that they care for each other so deeply. They treat each other with a kindness and respect that will make their marriage last. Xander and I couldn’t stop smiling, watching how in love Jackie and Logan were, and I smiled just editing the photos!

Jackie and Logan, Thank you so much for letting us capture your big day. We both wish you so many more days of happiness ahead.

Didn’t Jackie make just the most gorgeous bride! Everything, from her makeup (done by one of her bridesmaids!) to her bead and lace dress to her gorgeous cathedral length veil, was stunning. Her bridesmaids also looked beautiful in their pink chiffon dresses.

The groom and his groomsmen looked just as dapper and had a great time hanging out before the ceremony.

Jackie and Logan chose not to do a first look, so when Logan saw his bride for the first time down the aisle of Rammelkamp Chapel his emotions overwhelmed him. It was such a sweet moment of tears.

The happy couple also chose to have a super fun church exit with bubbles and all their friend and family all around them.

While the wedding party was a group of very good looking people, they also had a little attitude! Since some of the groomsmen are on Logan’s football team, they decided to stage a little friendly rivalry. This group of friends and family that Jackie and Logan formed are some of the sweetest we’ve encountered. Despite being a super hot day, the whole wedding party was so positive and ready to support the bride and groom. Some of the wedding party even brought Xander and I drinks! (Thanks, guys!) You can really tell that these two are part of team of people who really care about them.

After family and wedding party photos, Jackie and Logan sat by one of their favorite spots on campus, a wooden rope swing with a great view. The light shone through the trees and made this time alone together look just heavenly.

And, for a little added flair to the day, Jackie and Logan had a getaway car! A super cool Camero, all decked out just for them, which they drove off into the sunset and towards the reception at Bogart’s.

The reception had so much fun personalization. The guest book was a piece of art of a tree, with leaves that guests could sign. There were also tons of photos scattered around, from their engagement session and over the course of their relationship. The trail mix bar was also a highlight (and delicious)!

One of Jackie’s close friends Maddie (who is also my sister!), made them this adorable groom’s cake. This cake is a representation of Jackie and Logan’s tree on campus that has their initials carved in it… Awwwww!

We ended the night with a few more portraits at sunset. Jackie and Logan couldn’t stop smiling and neither could I. It was a wonderful end to a beautiful day.
