Something I love about being a photographer is all the things I am lucky enough to see. I want to see everything there is out there. I love being able to travel all over the country and through the midwest, visiting all the little towns along the way. There’s so much beauty out there and I want to see it all, especially in autumn, my favorite time of year.

Last weekend I took my travels to Jacksonville, Illinois, which reminded me of Haddonfield (because I love the Halloween movies and I love Halloween in general) in a really good way! It was cute, festive and full of Halloween decorations. The streets were lined with lush trees and no one was in a hurry to get anywhere. Luckily, they also lacked a Michael Myers, which we could all live without.

Anyway, Jacksonville is the home of Illinois College and home to Jackie and Logan. Jackie and Logan met an Illinois College, both of them there to compete in sports competitively, which is pretty impressive. Logan is an offensive lineman on the football team and Jackie swims a variety of races with the women’s swim team.

Illinois College proved to have a plethora of photo locations that were both picturesque and meaningful to the couple. The first being the tree that Logan carved their initials into near their apartment. J + L 4 EVER! Then we took a walk across campus, stopping at gorgeous paths, a rope swing and the chapel they will be married at next year.

We couldn’t leave campus without stopping by the places where both Jackie and Logan spend so much time: the football field and the swimming pool. I couldn’t keep them off the field or the diving block! Sunset on the football field was magical and they looked so adorable in their matching jerseys.

I can’t wait to photograph Logan and Jackie’s Wedding next summer! It’s going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to visit Haddonfield, er… I mean… Jacksonville again!
