When I met Madilyn and her mom about her senior portraits she told me she wanted something different, something unique. After talking with her over coffee, we both knew there was no better way to show of Madilyn’s creative and fun personality than with some out of the box portraits (and some that mom will like, too!). I think there is no better way to showcase who you are in this moment than to demonstrate it with locations, outfits and props that really make you feel like you.
Madilyn is big into theater, but I wouldn’t call her a drama queen (her mom might…) because she was cool, poised and basically flawless the whole day. We bonded over some “nerdy” things like Supernatural and comics, but also our love of Pinterest. This girl has a Pinterest account that I envy! We decided to start our session in “The District” part of Downtown Columbia, stopping at fun walls and cool alleyways. Then took a trek out to McBaine to admire the Bur Oak or “Big Tree.” It was a crazy beautiful and WINDY day, but she knocked it out of the park. Check out Madilyn’s session below and see her awesome hair, awesome outfits, electric-colored boba tea and some smokey model looks in the super fun senior session!
I was so lucky to get to spend a fun afternoon with Madilyn and her wonderful mom, Leigh. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Good luck in everything you have ahead of you Madilyn. You’re going to do amazing things. You’re going to move mountains.
